Carer Breaks to Dalmellington

A total of sixteen Carers have enjoyed a weekend of relaxation and pampering at  Dalmellington House Hotel, East Ayrshire in April, thanks to funding awarded from Short Breaks Fund, Shared Care Scotland.

Quotes from those who attended:

‘Can I request a break every weekend?’

‘It was very good to get away for a few days to recharge my batteries.’

The carers all found the Dalmellington experience to be beneficial and helpful towards their caring role and the relationship with the person they care for. The therapy sessions were thoroughly enjoyed and allowed them to relax and be themselves for a while.

Cardross Garden Party

Saturday 11th June 2011

The garden party was a huge success and raised £849. The day was enjoyed by all with face painting, a DJ and many other stalls. A dancing display and puppet show entertained everyone when it began to rain and we moved everything inside.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to  everyone that came along to support us and to  volunteer.
